The
Book of Formation – Sefer Yetzirah says, “He crowned the letter Bet with life,
and created with it Saturn in the universe, Sunday in the year and the right eye
in the soul. He crowned the letter Tzadi and created with it Aquarius in the
world, Shevat in the year and the stomach in the soul”.
Saturn rules Capricorn and Aquarius. Those are the only two consecutive months
controlled by the same planet. So, what is the difference between Capricorn and
Aquarius? Capricorn is an earth sign, Aquarius an air sign.
The Capricorn, being an earth sign, is limited by the five senses. Therefore
Saturn is responsible for order, responsibility, discipline, and maintaining law
and order.
Aquarius, being an air sign, cannot be contained. After all, one cannot capture
air. That is the reason that Aquarius is ruled not only by Saturn but by Uranus
as well, a planet that only was discovered in the last century. Uranus is the
planet responsible for the Age of Aquarius.
We are now at the beginning of the Age of Aquarius, the era of revolutions and
technology. It is the time of the dissolution of limitations and boundaries. We
are marching towards a new era that is changing and renewing every aspect of our
lives.
In the book Pri Etz Chaim by The Ari – Rabbi Isaac Luria, it is written that our
generation is “Dor De’ah,” the generation of the Exodus, and coming back with
this generation are the Erev Rav (the mixed multitude), that are the people that
carry the virus of Hatred for No Reason. This is the same hatred that caused us
to lose the Bila Hamavet Lanetzch – Removal of Death Forever (immortality) that
we received on Mount Sinai.
The idea of immortality has existed for 3,400 years, since that moment on Mount
Sinai, and in our modern times we are reconnecting to this idea. The Ari also
says that at the time of the Golden Calf, only the women refused to take place
in the sin. Therefore these same women have come back in our generation with the
commitment to continue the fight against chaos that began 3,400 years ago. This
is the Age of Aquarius, the age in which we can restore immortality, certainty,
and an end to suffering. The women are the leaders of this revolution to restore
a balanced way of life to this world. This is the reason women in our days are
more masculine and men are more passive, even sometime there is a switch between
male and female, and their different life styles.
According to Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai and the ancient Kabbalists, the Age of
Aquarius has only one meaning: the removal of chaos from the world. In other
words, the Messiah.
The Talmud reveals that the future redemption will happen in the month of
Nissan, so what is the connection to Aquarius? Another question is, when the
Messiah will be born? According to the Zohar, the Messiah will be born on the
9th day of Av – another contradiction against both months of Nissan and Shevat.
The Ari explains that when we say the Messiah will be born on the 9th day of Av
we refer to the consciousness of Leo, that its numerical value is 216. 216 is
the numeric value of the Hebrew letter Resh, Yud, Dalet, the exact amount of
letters in the 72 Names of God chart. The 72 Names of God is the key and the
answer to all of humanity ailments. This is the Messiah we are waiting for! The
Messiah has already arrived. The Zohar, in Shemot, says that when the Messiah
will come, the people will try to kill him and he will have to hide.
The knowledge of the 72 Names of God has been concealed for the past 2,000
years. A few years ago only a handful of people knew that the 72 Names of God is
the Messiah. Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai reveals that only by using this knowledge
(of the 72 Names of God) can chaos be removed from the entire world.
Moses, who split the Red Sea using the 72 Names of God, tries to deliver this
message, in every generation, but we are too impatient and do not find the time
to listen to him. In our generation we can learn how to use the 72 Names of God,
to use the 42 letter Name – the Ana B’koach, and the letters of the month of
Shevat – Tzadi and Bet.
The combination of the letters Tzadi and Bet give us the energy to keep and
remember the consciousness of removing chaos.
The numerology value of the letters Tzadi Bet is 92, which is the numerical
value of Amen = 91 + the inclusive. With the help of these letters we can
elevate from the frame of Malchut to the level of Zeir Anpin, and by this remove
chaos from our life.
An especially valuable date in Shevat is the 15th day – known as Tu B’shvat –
the holiday of the trees. The tradition is to planet trees on this day. The true
Kabbalistic meaning of this day is on this day all the creation of the
vegetation kingdom receive their yearly energy. The new year of the trees means
that the trees get new life, the same as human beings do on Rosh Hashanah in
Tishrei.
The Talmud teaches us that there are four Heads of the Year (the number four
connects us to the four levels of the Yud Hei Vav Hei): Rosh Chodesh Nissan the
judgment day for kings
Rosh Chodesh Elul the judgment day for animals
Rosh Chodesh Tishrei the judgment day for humans
15th of Shevat the judgment day for vegetation
Ilan (tree) is numerology 91, on Tu B’shvat we reach the completion of energy
of Zeir Anpin – the Yud Hei Vav Hei = 26 and Malchut, Aleph-Dalet-Nun-Yud = 65,
together 91 = Amen, meaning whole energy. The energy trees have is the ability
to overcome gravity. The tree grows out of the earth, with tremendous power. Tu
B’shvat is not the time to have admiration for trees, but to tap into the
consciousness of activating restriction against the desire to receive for one
self alone.
By using this energy we meditate to reveal light in the world and connect to
Messiah consciousness. There is a verse in the portion of Balak that says,
“Water shall flow from his buckets, his seed with a lot of waters, he shall be
exalted over Agag, and his kingdom will be raised” (Bemidbar 24:7). The symbol
of Aquarius is the water bearer – the man that carries water from the well.
Water also has special quality of overcoming gravity; in water fountains and
geysers that erupt from the ground.
Aquarius, D’li in Hebrew, is numerically 44, same as blood, Dam. This means that
the month of Shevat can be connected to the energy of the tree – the Tree of
Life, consciousness of certainty and Love Thy Neighbor as Thy Self, or
conversely, to the consciousness of bloodshed.
Aquarius, with its two ruling planets, Saturn and Uranus, is a sign of
transformation, rebellion, and breakthroughs. Aquarians are on a constant search
for their identity, their uniqueness and their personality. They are brilliant
people with open minds, new ideas, sometimes strange ones. They are most
definitely unconventional and constantly seek to be different, different from
their past or any other “normal” people. They are inventors, explorers, and do
not care what people will say or think about them. They bring revolution and
change everywhere they go. They are social planners, sociology workers,
psychologists, unconventional healers and especially people who are open for new
and higher consciousness.
From spiritual point of view, there is no limit to the intellectual ability and
understanding beyond materialism and five senses that can bring us to a
consciousness of social caring; a true humanitarian one that will bring the
world to equality of opportunities of concern and true caring.
A big part of anyone's spiritual journey of transformation is to get to know
themselves for who they really are, and understand and accept the unique
combination of their personality and traits. Learning what your sign means can
give you an important and valuable insight as to what your biggest challenge is,
so that you can transform it and uncover your biggest gift to the world, which
is, simply put, the other side of the same coin.
